Vanessa Rousso Dominates PCA Ladies Events

Vanessa Rousso, ultra-hot poker babe and GoDaddy.com girl, bested a field of 91 other women to capture the title in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) $1,000 + $100 Ladies No Limit Hold’em tournament. Rousso was consistently the chip leader over the course of two days and earned top prize all $24,725.

Besides Rousso, who is part of the Team PokerStars, other well-known female players included pros J.J. Lui, Katja Thater, Sandra Naujoks, Veronica Dabul, Shirley Rosario, who placed fourth, and the young phenomenon and World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe Main Event champ Annette Obrestad.

Over a third of the women who played in the Ladies Event qualified through PokerStars online tournaments.

Rousso, also known as Lady Maverick, had made regular announcements at various intervals on twitter as to how she was doing, commented on the win this week saying, “Obviously you have to run well in any tournament you play in. But I didn’t make any mistakes that I know of, I played well and I’m happy with the way I played. Starting the year off with a victory is really cool.”

With over $3.5 million in earnings, Russo went on to say she feels her results are beginning to speak for themselves. After only playing for four and half years, the blonde bombshell looks forward to continually establishing herself, whether in line for online play, as a poker-playing force to be reckoned with.
