Isildur1 Offered a Seat at Party Poker’s Big Game IV

Seeking to seize the momentum from Full Tilt Poker, Party Poker has extended an invitation to the elusive Swedish player known as “Isildur1” to join the site’s Big Game IV. The tournament, which is scheduled to take place in London from April 11th to April 13th, is an incredible 48-hour, non-stop game that has previously fielded such players as Phil Hellmuth, Chris Ferguson, Kenna James, Dave Ulliott and Jamie Gold.

Team Party’s Tony G used his blog to issue an invitation to the mysterious Swede, offering to not only pick up his expenses, but to also stake him for the entire 48 hours. Tony G said, “Isildur1, get over to the UK for April 11-13 for the Big Game IV at Les Ambassadeurs in London. I will pay for your flights, I will pay for your hotel – I will even stake you totally for the 48 hour cash game. I want to experience the chance to see your brilliant online game in the live environment.”

The general opinion is that Isildur1 would probably not attend in order to maintain his status as the enigma of online poker. In order to eliminate that concern, Matchroom Sports managing editor Eddie Hearn said, “We have been in contact with Isildur1 and would love him to join the game; if he wants we will even make special arrangements so that he doesn’t have to reveal his identity to anyone. We are quite happy to let him play wearing a mask or in disguise!”

If the previous years are any indication, the presence of Isildur1 will only add to what figures to be an exciting event. Party Poker is once again pulling out all the stops to ensure that this tournament is truly the “big game.”
