Held on September 13th at London’s Kensington Close Hotel, the show honors the country’s top poker players and allows the fans to join in the celebration.

Caselli is looking forward to sharing duties with The Magician saying, “Antonio is one of the game’s biggest personalities and I am so excited that he is the Master of Ceremonies at the first British Poker Awards. This awards night is a special event for the British poker scene, as we honor those who have made outstanding contributions in the game, but it’s also going to be a night where the poker playing public can come and meet their favorite players and watch the best players in the land receive their awards.”

The British Poker Awards will hand out awards for such categories as Best Overall Poker Player, Best Cash Player, Best Tournament Player, Best Online Player and Best UK Card Room. The list of nominees includes such star poker players as James Akenhead, Vicky Coren, Marty Wilson, Neil Channing, Tony Kendall and Tony Holden.

Caselli stated, “We have always wanted to make the awards as accessible for the poker playing public possible.” Keeping to that end, the awards will be hosted by one of poker’s most popular players, and fans will be invited to join a £50 No Limit Hold’em tournament immediately following the ceremony.
