Losses Mount for Poker Player Gus Hansen

Although online poker news usually chronicles the successes of the top players, some stories are not as inspiring. Over the past couple of years, Gus “The Great Dane” Hansen has been experiencing a run of bad luck that few players could afford to absorb.
Hansen, a member of Team Full Tilt, has been on a bad streak that has lasted for two and one-half years. While he has generated over $7.5 million in career live earnings and has been known to make strong business moves, (such as the sale of Pokerchamps and his part-ownership in Full Tilt Poker) the virtual felt has not been as kind to this high-stakes pro.
Since January 1st, 2008, Hansen has recorded nearly $7 million in losses at Full Tilt. He has lost more money than any other single account during the same time period. To put his losses in perspective, Phil Ivey has won more than $17 million over the same period of time.
Tangling regularly with players like Phil Ivey, Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies, Hansen has struggled in 2010. For the year, he is down nearly $800,000, with nearly $500,000 of that coming in just the first two weeks of August.
Although he has experienced some heaters, (like in October of 2008 when he recorded over $3 million in winnings) Hansen has largely been a victim at the high-stakes tables of Full Tilt. As a player who has enjoyed great success in live events, Gus Hansen might want to spend more time playing brick & mortar events to stem the mounting losses he has been experiencing at the nosebleed tables of Full Tilt.

WE VALUE YOUR FEEDBACK:
Gus may have had some losing days or weeks but don’t forget about all the money he made until now.
Gus Hansen is a WINNER!!
dm, you’re joking right? Don’t fool yourself…$7.7 million in losses since the start of 2007. One of the hottest players at the moment? One $300k week doesn’t make up for losses like that!
