The third Day One seating for the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event wrapped up Wednesday at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. PokerRoomReview.com was on hand, covering both the Pavilion and Amazon Rooms from the rail. There were a number of surprises, as some big names fell early in this year’s championship event.

PokerRoomReview.com caught up with several big name players as they began their 2010 Main Event runs. And, we witnessed the quick end to a number of WSOP hopes for this year’s biggest tournament. Following is a photo recap of Day 1C of the 2010 WSOP Main Event.

Tom “durrrr” Dwan appears none too pleased with his dwindling chip stack on his first day of the 2010 WSOP Main Event. Luckily he was seated near the rail in the Pavilion Room so he had a short walk after busting out on Day 1C.

Sporting a Victory Poker headband, Antonio Esfandiari made the most of his first day at the 2010 WSOP Main Event, running his chip count to almost 45k.  He busted out on his second day, however, when an opponent caught a runner-runner straight to end The Magician’s show.

Howard Lederer, seated in the Pavilion Room of the Rio on his first day of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event.  Unfortunately for The Professor, his first day also proved to be his last.

Phil Hellmuth made his 2010 WSOP Main Event entrance dressed as an MMA fighter. However, the Poker Brat’s battle for a 12th bracelet ended before it had even begun as he suffered a first round knockout at the ESPN secondary featured table.

Bodog Poker pro Evelyn Ng posted a good first day at the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event, more than doubling her starting stack up to 65k. She had another good run on Day 2, chipping up to almost 100k.

Dutch PokerStars pro Marcel Luske barely survived his first day of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event.  Unfortunately, his luck ran out on Day 2 as the Flying Dutchman was grounded.

Note: Because of the extremely poor Internet service here at the Rio, PRR is running a bit behind on our WSOP updates. We’re working to get caught up whenever we’re lucky enough to have a steady connection.
