Jared Bleznick Leads This Week’s Online PokerTweet Share
In a down week that saw many of the elite high-stakes players preparing for the WSOP, Jared Bleznick led the pack of players who did wander over to the nosebleed online poker tables. Bleznick was joined by the likes of David Benyamine, Gus Hansen and Di Dang as players who saw their bankrolls increase during the week.
The slow week certainly did not affect Bleznick, who managed to pick up nearly $200,000 at the $200/$400 cap PLO tables. His big triumph came in one session with “thecranium.” The battle lasted 1,046 hands, and saw Bleznick walking away with an impressive $174,000 win. Playing capped Omaha likely kept the win from being even larger, as Bleznick won 26 of the 34 hands that reached the cap.
With heavy-hitters like Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius and others missing from the No Limit Hold’em and Omaha tables, the $200/$400 PLO tables remained the hot spot for nosebleed poker action throughout the week. Dang was another big winner, with a profit for the week of about $150,000. Dang managed to hit some big pots, one in particular against Hansen and Niki Jedlicka.
Benyamine spent part of this time on the Limit Omaha tables, but still found time to get in some $100/$200 No Limit Omaha as well, walking away with nearly $100,000.
The highest limit games will likely drop off as the big-name players head to the World Series of Poker, but there will surely be activity on off days and between sessions. As it turned out, Jared Bleznick used the slowdown to lead the pack of players at this week’s nosebleed tables.
