With the 2009 WSOP Main Event Final Table just days away, we take a closer look at the remaining players … the so-called “November Nine”. Here are a few quick “facts” …

When play resumes, Darvin Moon heads to the final table with a monster chip stack of almost 59 million, 6 times more than that of Phil Ivey. Should the amateur poker player, professional lumberjack from Maryland hold his lead and come away with the $8.5 million top prize, he’d have enough cash on hand for something like 17,000 new chain saws.

Whoever the winner of this year’s final table is, he’ll will walk away with eleven times more in prize money than Phil Hellmuth did in his 1989 win. In fact, the 2009 champion will cash more than twice the Final Table winnings of Johnny Moss, Doyle Brunson, Stu Ungar and Johnny Chan combined.

Full Tilt Poker is the clear sponsorship champion this year, with four of the nine finalists set to be covered head-to-toe in Full Tilt logos. PokerStars gear will festoon two players at the final table while Everest Poker will have a single representative. We assume Shulman will represent Card Player; and, thus far, Darvin Moon has declined all sponsorship offers, including the half-million dollar “proposal” from PokerRoomReview.com.
